Onan’s practice includes civil and commercial law, real property and estates matters, asset recovery and family law matters.

Onan’s induction into the legal profession was primarily focused on corporate matters, however, the interpersonal skills which she brought along with her from her previous career in the Hospitality Industry while working at the then Hamilton Princess Hotel on the island of Bermuda, brought such ease to her clients that soon she was propelled to expand her practice to legal matters where her clients desired such skills from their attorney. At Providence Law, Onan is now better able to provide her clients with professional and legal services in a ‘one stop legal shop’ environment.

MESSAGE FROM ONAN: I believe that professional and wise counsel can remove unnecessary abrasiveness from any matter (whether settled out of court or not), and also makes litigious matters flow smoothly as then the client’s expectations are more realistic if advised properly. Therefore, while most expect attorneys to be naturally litigious in nature, I endeavor to prove to my clients that we are referred to as (firstly) ‘Counsel’ and then ‘Attorney’ [‘Counsel & Attorney’]. Hence, I always prefer to start any disputed matter by firstly giving consideration to any alternative dispute resolutions.

Alongside my career, I am a mother and primary care-giver of an aging parent, both of which teaches me to treasure each and every moment spent with family and loved ones. I also enjoy the opportunities afforded me to assist others with learning how to enjoy their best life now using spiritual principles, and developing hope for an even better future.
